What finally pushed you to start your first business?

Source: Quora Answered by :  Josh Fechter _______________ Even if you think you’re three times smarter than when you graduated college, the chances are you only get paid twice as much. Probably less. It’s not easy to climb the ladder. Doesn’t matter how much value you provide. The worst part:  you cap out. Most companies won’t pay you over $200,000 even if you’re responsible for most of their growth. I’m talking about adding million of dollars in revenue to their bottom line. They don’t care. Why? Because you’re not taking risks. People who take risks get paid more. It’s that simple. And people who take risks start businesses. I don’t want to have limits, so I rather take risks. It’s ugly on the other side. Even if you work for one of the best tech companies in Silicon Valley and have a job in the top five percent of employees, then you still get paid less than $150,000/year. Maybe that doesn’t sound too bad…until you think about it this way: As

What should I know in my twenties?

That most of your dreams will not come true  - The older you get, the more you become aware that your dreams were never destined to be. That having fewer friends allows you to have deeper friendships - We can only deeply invest in a few people at a time. But networking is really important -  Making time to talk to people in a field that you want to work in will change your life. That it is not enough to simply be good at something -  The whole so good they can’t ignore you paradigm is nice to hear, but incomplete. But being Good makes everything a lot easier -  But being good at something makes opportunities more abundant. That you need to move from your home to grow -  You hold your identity where you live. What's something you've done that unexpectedly made you a lot of money?

Source : Quora Answered by :  Julian Frank ________________ A couple of years ago, I was selling an old laptop on eBay, and I listed it for about 200 dollars. Or, at least I thought I did. It turns out that I added an extra zero, so the price was set at 2,000 dollars. I only found this out when I got a notification saying that the item had sold. I was pretty happy. The funny thing is that the buyer never messaged me about the price or asked for a refund or anything. He just paid and let bygones be bygones. Fine by me.

What are the behaviors of a confident person?

Source: Quora Answered by:   Richard Walker __________________ A confident person doesn’t tell you they’re confident. They show you. The same is true of most traits - if you truly possess a trait there is no need to verbally tell someone that you have the trait, just simply demonstrate it and let it speak for itself. So if someone is telling you, “I’m confident”, then they’re probably not.

What are the lessons people most often learn too late in life?

Source : Quora Answered by :  James Compton _____________________ College is a joke (unless you’re going to be a Dr, otherwise a complete waste). You won’t get rich working for a company (which is what college trains you to be - a corporate wannabe). It’s so easy to start your own company(s). It’s easy to be free (see #3). Life isn’t about money or materialistic things. You can get cancer at any age. So be healthy and never say it won’t happen to you. The only things that matter in life is your family and the quality of relationship you have with them. Don’t worry about what other people think about you, don’t worry about what other people are thinking about, don’t spend your time thinking about stupid things such as these. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Cliche but it’s surprising how most people don’t follow it. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. Accept it and don’t think twice about it. Accept whatever life brings

Which book can literally change your life?

Source : Quora Answered by :  Chetan Walia __________________ I'll tell you something amazing from experience. The only book that will really, truly change you is the one that you will write. You don't have to be a writer or a perfectionist to begin. Just start writing in anything that you want to inquire into yourself (for example changing lives). Don't worry about what you know about the topic, rather discard all that. And just write, flow it, even if for the first few paragraphs nothing makes sense. Go on. And you'll amaze yourself. Within no time of being into the writing space, a sort of meditation takes over and words, meaning, insights, everything flows… it's a different intelligence that takes over. Just write, don't write for an end result because then you rarely hit the zone. Just write to learn. And be amazed.
