It’s not easy to climb the ladder. Doesn’t matter how much value you provide. The worst part: you cap out. Most companies won’t pay you over $200,000 even if you’re responsible for most of their growth. I’m talking about adding million of dollars in revenue to their bottom line. They don’t care. Why? Because you’re not taking risks. People who take risks get paid more. It’s that simple. And people who take risks start businesses. I don’t want to have limits, so I rather take risks. It’s ugly on the other side. Even if you work for one of the best tech companies in Silicon Valley and have a job in the top five percent of employees, then you still get paid less than $150,000/year.
